I started Stay Human in 2002 because i really wanted to be doing something to try help make the world a better place. Instead of getting up everyday and going to a job i hated, i wanted to bound out of bed and get to work on creating something i cared about. At the time i was friends with lots of bands who wanted to get ethically made shirts and hoodies. They wanted band merch but they didn’t want to support sweatshop labour practises. But a lot of these smaller bands couldn’t get the time of day from manufacturers and printers, especially if they were only wanting small runs of 20-50 garments.

I feel that most people in the world are good, but we live in society that makes us both lazy and apathetic. Most people will support the idea of paying people a decent wage for their labour, indeed we all expect it for ourselves, but when out shopping we often don’t think about it. we just look at the price tag or buy what’s in front of us. For the past five year Stay Human has had the mission of making getting No sweatshop merchandise as easy as we can for the Bands, Events and Businesses that need it. This way by taking out the effort required for people, we hope that many more will let their heart and morals guide them rather than marketing and money.

Our mission is twofold, not only are we trying to give customers easy and affordable access to ethical products. we are also trying to prove that businesses can operate with morals and still make reasonable, but not obscene profit. So if you support what we do please lend us some energy and time and tell someone about us. We get almost all of our business through word of mouth and from people telling their friends about us.
